Voice recordings & transcripts
When you speak, your voice is transcribed into text so you never have to type.
Your recordings are securely stored in your private account so you can replay them at any time.
For transcription, audio is processed in real time and is not retained by our transcription provider after processing.

Your journal entries, ideas, and conversations.

AI-generated summaries and themes based on your entries.

Email, username, or identifiers used to manage your account.

Device type, operating system, app version, and usage data.

How We Use Your Information

How Your Data Is Handled

We use trusted services to power parts of the experience:

Transcription


Deepgram converts your voice to text in real time. Audio sent for transcription is not retained after processing.
Your original recordings remain stored securely in your account.

 

Analysis


OpenAI and Anthropic generate insights from your text.

  • Anthropic does not retain your data

  • OpenAI retains API data for up to 30 days, then deletes it in accordance with their policy and is not used to train it's models.

 

These services process data only to provide functionality—they do not own your content.

Storage & Security

  • Your entries and recordings are encrypted in transit and at rest

  • Your data is stored securely in your private account

  • Only you can access your content unless you choose to share it

 

We follow industry best practices to protect your data.

Wellbeing Safeguards

Ponderare is a journaling and reflection tool, not a mental health, therapy, crisis, or emergency service. As part of the way Ponderare processes journal entries and related content, our tools may identify language that appears to suggest serious distress or potential crisis.

If this happens, Ponderare may show supportive resources, such as crisis hotlines or professional support options. This is not a diagnosis, assessment, or therapeutic intervention. Ponderare does not contact emergency services, provide mental health treatment, or notify third parties on your behalf.

We do not use this information for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not share your journal content or crisis-related signals with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy or with your consent.

Sharing of Information

We do not share your thoughts, recordings, or insights with third parties, except:

 

  • With your consent (when you export or share data)

  • Legal obligations (if required by law)

  • Service providers for the purpose of processing data (trusted partners under strict confidentiality agreements)​

You remain in control of your data:

  • Access your data- View all personal data associated with your account

  • Export your data- Download your recordings, transcripts, and insights

  • Request corrections- Update or correct your personal data

  • Delete your account- Permanently delete your account and all associated data

Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw your consent for data processing at any time by:

  • Deleting your account

(Settings → Delete Account), which removes your data from our primary systems

  • Adjusting device permissions

Disabling access (such as microphone permissions) in your device settings

Withdrawing consent does not affect data that has already been processed.
Previously generated insights may remain unless you delete your account.

Children’s Privacy

​Ponderare is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by email (if provided).​
